The activation of a Station has been prepared by a series of radio contacts; depending on the kind of operation and of the location we decide which antennas to prepare, which rigs are going to be used; we get ready to be independent during our radio hours; we fill the tool-box. We then decide who is going to bring what, the time of the meeting, who is installing the antennas, who is rigging up the radio room, who is going to log up contacts on PCs, which bands are going to be activated, who is catering for food and drinks.


A series of operations that must be planned and perfectly co-hordinated. The briefing, fundamental for the good outcome of the operation, unites the group "body and soul", makes us feel all important, all identically necessary. There are no cultural, social or physical differences, there are no barriers....


We are in full activity, the callsign II1TPG is sent on the air, one is sending telegraphy, one is howling on phone, one is scanning the bands to test propagation, one is logging the contacts. We are all equal in front of our radios, disabled and abled. And also all our correspondents are equal.
